- Independent Banker Magazine — High-impact volunteerism at Denali State Bank, in Alaska.
- Composites Manufacturing Magazine — Canada’s first bio-composite electric vehicle design.
She lives in Spokane, Wash., with her family, and loves to blog about sustainability, technology, food, and manufacturing. She has been an advocate of telecommuting for over 20 years, and was the focus of several articles in national magazines for her efforts to raise awareness of the importance of encouraging telecommuting.
Jan chased breaking news for The Oregonian in the 1990s for the North Oregon Coast, and ran the very first bread-and-breakfast inn on the North Oregon Coast in 1982.
